Upward Bound

The (elders) words of wisdom was almost like a rhythmic beat of a drum that kept us in a continuum stride of moving; in and out, we twirled and turned while side by side we earnestly tried to keep to the step of a constant beat of the elders knowing.

Something inside of us was screaming to get out, screaming to the world that we belonged right next to the great of all greats because we were there feeling, experiencing, and living out the stories of our life’s.
